Run, Hide, Fight Training

The Florence Copper staff enjoyed having local students from the Central Arizona Valley Institute of Technology (CAVIT) out to the site in January for Run, Hide, Fight training. Devon McLaws, the law enforcement instructor at CAVIT, teaches students how to train companies an organizations how to respond in an active shooter situation.
Students Carli Van Valkenberg and Logan Magee are part of the Run, Hide, Fight team, and this training program is part of their community service project for the year. Mr. McLaws will also take this team to the Skills USA state competition later in the year.
Thank you so much to the Run, Hide, Fight team at CAVIT! It was a great experience for our staff, and we hope to do it again next year.
