Now in its 10th year, the Florence Copper Creating Opportunities Scholarship program is proud to announce its 2020 recipients.

Merrick Wallace, a graduate of Florence High School, was awarded a $500 scholarship from Florence Copper. Merrick plans to study neuroscience and biology at the University of Oklahoma. During his time at Florence High, he was on varsity basketball and soccer, and he was one of the senior editors of the yearbook. We congratulate him on his academic success!

Bryn O'Rourke is also a Florence High School graduate who was just awarded the $500 Florence Copper Creating Opportunities scholarship. Bryn was a member of the National Honor Society and awarded Outstanding World Language Student at Florence High School. She will be attending Ottawa University Arizona on a basketball scholarship and plans to major in Business Administration. Another outstanding student from Florence High! Go Gophers!
